Export a conversation

Saving as Markdown

Every conversation is already being saved as you go, in Colophon's own local storage — one Markdown file per document, collection, or library-wide chat. The ⋯ menu in the chat drawer offers View as Markdown to read it directly, Save to Files to copy it into the Files app where you can find it later, and Clear conversation to start over.

What's included

The exported file keeps the full back-and-forth, your questions and the generated answers, as plain Markdown text. Page citations carry over as references to the source document, though they're no longer tappable once they're outside the app.
